What is Individual Therapy?
Individual counseling or ‘talk therapy’ is a treatment approach for individuals of all ages to work with a mental health professional on a one to one basis. At South Collective Counseling, our team of caring mental health clinicians bring comprehensive experience & diverse expertise to the group private practice. The collective team can provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults seeking help for a wide range of issues. You will be able to work through your issues with a trained professional who has experience working with people like you.
The Benefits of Individual Counseling:
Individual counseling is a highly flexible, tailored treatment approach. Since there is only one primary client, the clinician is able to focus all their attention to the client seeking help. Treatment is solely focused on the initial identified client and customized to their specific needs. Family and loved ones of the client can be brought into session(s) on as needed basis to help support the primary client reach their goals. However, the interests of the primary client are always the forefront of treatment. Additionally, if appropriate, supplemental interventions and modalities can be integrated easily in Individual Counseling sessions such as: EMDR Therapy, Inner Child/Trauma Work, Play Therapy, and Creative Art Expression+.
Individual therapy offers a unique opportunity for clients to have a dedicated counselor to listen, facilitate growth & healing, and process life’s challenges. It is a great form of self care, and a safe place to explore who you are, how you came to be, and where you would like to see yourself go moving forward.
