Welcome to Our Blog: Message to Our Readers

Reading glasses and laptop ready to check out new mental health blog

Welcome to South Collective Counseling’s new mental health blog, The Therapist Perspective! All people are invited to read helpful & informative articles about mental health written by mental health clinicians. The team at South Collective Counseling wants to boost awareness and education to promote mental health and wellness.

Man stuck isolating at home due to mental health

Mental health issues can cause anyone to easily feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and confused. It is common for people experiencing mental health issues to question or ignore their symptoms. And, the stigma surrounding mental health issues can instill shame and doubt—often leading to worsening symptoms and isolation. Isolation certainly does not promote a path to healing—it breeds unhealthy habits and keeps people “stuck.”

Mental health matters just as much as physical health. The demand for mental health counseling services has markedly increased over the past few years. While our blog is not a substitute for professional treatment, we hope it helps you better understand, access, and navigate quality mental health care for yourself or loved one(s).

The purpose of our mental health blog is to reduce stigma and help people get help. Our blogs will address common mental health questions, offer motivation, and provide insights on relevant topics in the counseling field. If you have a question or topic you think would be valuable, feel free to email us with content requests at hello@southcollectivecounseling.com.
